Here is a little something about myself. I live in the beautiful Peak District National Park
in the United Kingdom with my husband, our cats Moggy and Dusky and a few beautiful and funny hens
is where I originally came from and where I worked as an Executive Secretary during my earlier career life. Unlike most of the natural born gifted painters, painting did not come naturally to me. However I became fascinated by the creative side of the advertising business in which I worked for many years.
In 1999 I decided to make a career change and moved to Los Angeles to study computer graphics. Very soon I realised that my new found passion lay in drawing and painting, prompting a switch to graphic design courses where I explored the basic techniques of how to draw and paint.
After settling in the UK, with little idea of where to start, I returned back to an office job but never gave up on advancing further in the art field. Whilst continuing self study and combining my love of animals I have received enormous encouragement from the kind comments received at exhibitions, and by winning awards in competitions.
In 2012 I was selected to become a member of the Buxton based Peak District Artisans
In 2016 I was honoured to be invited and accepted to become a member of the prestigious The International Guild of Realism
whose aim is to promote realism fine art and provide global exhibiting opportunities.
I hope you enjoy your visit and please feel free to leave me any comments.
